Winter Walkway

Utah is known for its Winter landscapes. Full of snow covered mountains, ski slopes, and just being an Winter wonderland. It really is a Nature Photographer’s paradise when a fresh layer of snow covers the trees and the world just feels clean and new. I set out this particular morning in search of some early Fall colors in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains oddly enough. To my surprise, an early Fall snowstorm blew through the state and blanketed the mountains with its first snow of the year and covered the higher elevations with fresh layer of white powder. The Fall colors weren’t very prevalent, but the trees and solitude surrounding the lake I was exploring created a very serene experience for me. Being alone, walking along the banks of a lake during a morning like this refreshes everything about you. You feel the frost in the air and it just cleanses everything. It’s a perfect recipe for a Winter walk and also a perfect recipe for a fine art nature photograph. I was just lucky to be there walking with my camera that morning
