Hiking is one of those activities that utterly wears you out yet invigorates your body at the same time. Fresh air. Wildlife. Scenery that few see. It’s all a part of what brings you back to the backcountry. Whether you’re just out for a leisurely stroll or out for the specific purpose of landscape photography, hiking into remote areas of your state is something everyone should experience.
This particular image comes from Lake Blanche in the Wasatch Mountains near Salt Lake City, Utah. Hiking in the weather was a bit sketchy at times with snow even showing up slightly (it was June!). Luckily enough, the skies cleared up a bit and the sun began to shine away over this pristine high elevation lake. Needless to say, it was a good day.
